Yes, I know, I've failed my bloggy code and not blogged for a week.
You can see how I've not managed to ever blog, or keep any other form of daily record before. Lazy.
At first is was one day. Oops. Make up for it tomorrow.
Sunday, hmm, tired, work, sleep now.
Monday...no excuse, tomorrow?
Tuesday through Thursday, up at 6.30am for a Revit course...umm, yeah...zzzzzzzzz
Friday Glenns home!!!!! Have fun with Glenn and not blog yay!!!!!
Saturday.
Sunday.
Ho crap it Monday, 10 day later. Bullocks.
So I shall re-cap (or at least put a shot in at trying to) the last 10 days.
Saturday 14th.
Tom Felton kindly pointed out it was Friday the 13th yesterday / today. Thank you Mr Felton I want to ravish you-What?
So was work. It was workish. I don't know, I can't remember.
But what did make Saturday very very awesome, totally awesome even. Was that my little sister (ok, so she's almost 14, but she's still me little sister) can around and stayed the night for a sisterly sleepover! We watched Wizards of Waverly Place and 17 Again which is a great great great movie. Zefron can have a petastool right behind Mr Feltons in my dream house <3 They are to be admirred. And quietly drooled over.
It was a total blast! We had pikelets (little sweet pancakes) and Raro (powdered cordial/juice mix) for breakfast and she then proceeded to threw them up again out the side of my mums car on the way home. Great times.
Sunday 15th
Do I remember it?
Maybe?
Monday 16th
Went round to see mum and work on Revid a bit before going on the course.
Maybe other stuff happened, I can't be sure.
Tuesday 17th
First day of course!
Woke up at 6am. Disgusting. Since when do I wake before sunrise, yuck.
Well I did get up dispite my body and brain assuring me that no, I didn't need to get up and catch my train into this course. Of course I could sleep through the day and not leave my delicious warm, soft, deep bed to venture into the cold frost winter morning. Don't be crazy!
Despite this nice message I did get up and out of the house on time to make my train into Wellington for the Revit course.
Got there an hour early, as I do. I hate being late so I arrive to everything an hour or half and hour early. And walked around Cuba Street (where the course was). I don;t usually go up Cuba, even though it's just off Manners mall where I often frequent when in Wellington. I always kind of saw it as a hippy new-agy street, and sesings as I quite dislike new agey crap, never chose to venture up it.
As it was, Cuba had changed somewhat since last time I was up there. A lot more small. cool designer clothing / t-shirt stores and a comic book store I never knew existed o0o! Glenn and I are going to go there some time in the near future and look to see if they have any Scott Pilgrim. I had nose through Ferrit which is a small second hand boo store, Didn't find anything of interest but enjoyed looking none the less. After looking at all the shops that weren't open yet at it was 8.15am, I sat and read fanfiction on my Ozmos. Can't say which, I've been a bit skitzo with them lately, getting bored and starting new ones suddenly x)
8.45am went up stairs to the studio where I was doing the course. The group were called Caduceus (http://www.caduceus.co.nz/) and they were at the second floor of an onlt building, one of many in Wellington. I actually think that is one of my fave things about Wellington. The do all the shop fronts up all flash, but if you look up above the street covers about 50-75% of all the buildings are big stone beauties. And most have tiny winding little staircases leading up the businesses in old studio levels. Caduceus was one of those.
It had a nice little area with some dividing walls. Very cool.
So I spent the day learning the beginning basics of working with AutoDesk's Revit Architecture program. Mostly covering what I had been able to learn on my own so far, but with small tips and proccessed that I missed on my own that were useful to know.
Earlier while walking around I had bought a chicken and avacardo filled rool and chocolate carmal slice for lunch. As it was, they actauuly provided luch, as well as morning the afteroon tea, and it was DELICIOUS! Subsiquently, the filled roll remained in my bad for the next two days and finally ended up a squished mess and in the bin.
So day 1. Success.
Wednesday 18th
Day two of my Revit course.
Got up a little later and caught a later train. Only got there half an hour too early. Read.
Got into some deeper content that I knew some of, but not all. Food was great.
Discovered a great little dairy nextdoor to the course that sold all sorts of cool internations bits and pieces, such as Reese's Peanut Cups (choice to pass and wait to by them in American. More awesome that way) and Orangina, which for those of you who do not know, is a lovely orange drink from France, and it is yuuuuummmmy!
Relied on Lift Plus to get me through the day, I keept almost falling asleep out of exastion in the morning. Silly me didn't get enough sleep as usual.
It was brought to my attention that Lift Plus does not exist outside Australia / New Zealand. WHAT? So to explain it is an energy drink like Red Bull or V, but much yummier (in my humble opinion).
So yeah, that was good.
I'm getting tired so I'm going to try and rush through the rest of this...tired.
Thursday 19th.
Guess what! No WINZ.
Because I was on a course I was excused from making an appearance for the week.
Last day of course.
I was in the small course with two others. One who previously working in furnature, a Pom who was looking to up-skill to help find a job (good man!) and a guy looking the learn the program for his job.
It was a crammed in session, but we got there in the end wit time to spare for me to dash out 15mins early and catch my bus back into Lower Hutt in time for work.
We found soem answers to some problem me and mum had been having which was good. Including the every present (but now fixed) room debarcal.
By this point I was running entirely on Red Bull and Lift Plau to function.
By the time I got to work I was bearly concious. Not tired, not trashed, knackered or wasted, but bearly concious. Basic thought was a mission. And I got to run the store on my own and close up alone. Add to that the small fact caffine makes me somewhat unwell because I'm not used to having any (don't drink coffee, Coka Cola etc). Not a great state ofexistance. But I get into the swing of cousiousness and the night played on.
Glenn and Mazz's plane had landed at 10.15am that morning and I got to txt Glann a bit a work after no comunication for two weeks except a Facebook request...how that conned him into joining Facebook will forever be one of lifes great mysteries. If I was anti-social networking to begin with, then his was strictly pro violent hatred of social networking! mystery.
Anyway, finished up, caught the bus home (almost missed it).
Glenn was dead to the world by the time I got home. Timezomes and not sleeping on the plane are a great comination!
Apparently he didn't stir an inch in the time I got home, turned on my computer, got changed (nigh quietly might I add), started cooking dinner, turned on the TV and ate dinner.
He did however wake me up at 6.30am. How kind. But he as forgiven.
Friday 20th
Welcome home Glenn!
As I said, I got a wake up all at 6.30am, then slept more and got up about 10ish. Glenn got me all up to date witht eh trips gloss. Showed me video of the wedding (it was so beautiful, Tenny and K-chan were so beautiful), videos and photos of the trip, and gave me my present of a wonderfully loved Kingdon Hearts blanket <333 It's on my bed now.
Ok, so I'm totally knackered, and I think I'll stop for now, and pick it up again tomorrow,
There is more the come!
And i have a job interview for a second part-time job tomorrow morning to please wish me well and good luck!!!!! If I get it I'll be well on my way to saving for LeakyCon 2011!!!!!!
No, I'm not spell checking tonight, I'm to tired.
Night Internet. With the staying awesome and such.
