In Which E.K. Excites Over DH Release And Commissions

Morning Everyone!

So after yesterdays Daddy-Daughter Nerd-a-thon, I have a full (and apparently sunny) day ahead of me before I cruise into Wellington at 9pm tonight to see the Midnight Screening on Deathly hallows.

Last night after posting my last blog I got an email from the Upper Hutt City Library, to do a tiny little job for them, turning the Automated presentation I made for them into a Manual one to be used in person at the conference. So that's sweet! not sure if it's a paying job, but I really don't mind either way. it took me all of  half an hour (if that) to make the ajustments, now I'm just waiting to hear back.
So yeah, that's pretty awesome!

One thing I forgot to mention last night in my blog was that my Mum made this amazing Baked Cheesecake for Dad (and us) for dinner. Ok, not for dinner dinner, we had Hell Pizza (@ ) for dinner, but about an hour later we had the cheesecake, along with fresh home-whipped whip cream <3

Anyway, other than that, today before cruising into town I'm going to order Mum's Christmas prezzie, it might not arrive on time though. Also, I found another place to get Glenn's present that's easier to get to, so I'll be taking care of that soon. I think rather than getting it sent to my house, I'll go into Upper Hutt and get them to order it into the store and I'll pick it up later.
I won't say what either of them are incase they stumble on this.
But after that I'm set for Christmas Presents more of less. I have Mazz's, Kelli's, soon Mums and Glenn's will be ordered, and I just need to go out and locate Dad's.
Sweet!

On the cards front, I've now got six responses from people wanting Christmas cards sent to them, which is mint as! And it sounds like I might have some coming my way in response as well, which I'm pretty excited about! I'll have to buy a card tree!!! I don't usually get cards <3

That should be it for now.
I'll post somthing up tomorrow about how the Midnight Screening went!
Also, I'm looking forward to the backpackers, never stayed at one before.

In Which We Who'd With The Doctor

Greetings!

As mentioned in my previous blog, today was a day of family nerdiness!
Today, the 16th November 2010, is my beloved Daddies 50th birthday!!
Happy Birthday Daddy!!!!! <33333

It has been a wonderfully relaxing and down right nerdy occation.
I spent last night here so that we could get into the Father Daughter Nerd-a-thon bright and early. And by that I mean 10am.
Yesterday afternoon I got the call I'd been waiting for from Whitcoulls that the Doctor Who's I ordered had arrived, so after making dinner for Glenn, I was off into twon to pick themup then walk in the LOVELY sun to my parents.

I do hope my Dad enjoyed his birthday. He took the day off work so we could watch Star Trek together, though seeings as we got the Doctor Who in tiume, we watched those instead. We got through all of 'The Keys of Marinus', 'The Aztecs', and 'The Daleks Invation of Earth'. SO we didn't get any Star Trek in, but I don't think that matter much, there are future Daddy-Daughter Nerd-a-thons to watch them too. We have a boat load of old Star Trek Original VHSs to get through (Dad got them all for $20 xD), as well as the three DVDs we watched today, and 4 or so still to watch.
And them when we're out we'll get more >w<
Yay for Daddy-Daughter Nerdiness!

On top of the nerdi-times, Mum got Dad a personalised Packers football jersey. At least I think it's the Packers, I don't follow American Football, or any sports for that matter. Also some suspenders. I got him Fireworks, but it might not be calm enough weather to set them off tonight. We'll see once it gets dark.

What else?
Go a new Fancy Pantcy Flybuys / Air New Zealand Airpoints card, so I can choose to get either Flybuys or Air New Zealand Airpoints at Flybuys stores. And seeings as I'll be flying Air New Zealand to LeakyCon 2011, all the better! Man, I wouldn't fly with anyone else for a long haul flight (10+ hours New Zealand to San Fran'), they're the best! Great food and service. Little TVs for all! Hope I get a boeing 777 flight!

Enough of the flying excitement already xD I haven't even booked tickets yet!

Weather!
It really is amazing how quickly yhr waether has shifted from Winter into Sprint-near-Summer weather.
Not two or three weeks ago it was cold and miserable, and now it's sunny and hot. So very Summery indeed!
Even today, which is overcast as myeh, it's not cold and unpleasent like it was through Winter.

As an example. Not some three weeks ago we were lucky to get 15 degrees (celcius), and recently we've been hitting in the 20s! Very happy about that. Still, it's no Sydney, and it'll always be colder than I'd like, but for Wellington, it's pretty damn fine!

Hmm, what else is there?
Oh right!
While buying the Doctor Who DVDs I also picked up the Christmas Cards to send off to a whole bunch of you! I had to cut down who I asked for addresses because I couldn't ask all 100 or so of the people I follow on Twitter, but if I haven't sent you a message on Twitter do not fret! Just send a postage address and I'll sed on to you too if I follow you <3
So far I've had five responses, possible more, but I can't check right this moment because my mum computer doesn't like Twitter for some reason.
Anyway, bought the cards. I found some awesome Kiwi Christmas one, which were just waht I was looking for. Something unique from your Kiwiland in Kiwiland <3
I'll be filling them in over the next few days, and send them off once I have a few more people who want me to send them one. I'm sending by International Air (Worldwide) which will take about 3-5 days, so no real rush See.
The card are very cute, they have Kiwi's (the bird as in) in typical, traditional New Zealand Summer Christmas activites.
If you want to send me one just send me a message on Twitter and I'll send my address. I'd love anything none religious. So Santa's, snow, etc please <3 That would be absolutely awesome really.

I think that's it for today. Tomorrow I'm off into Wellington around 9pm to check into my backpackers for the Midnight Screening of Harry Potter and The Deathy Hallows. That should be awesome!
Anyone else doing the Midnight thing for the releaseof Part 1?

Ah well.
Good Night oRGood Morning, or Good Day to everyone!
Enjoy your current time of the day <3

In Which Lazyness is of an Abundance

Well good evening, or quite possible morning, or even good day, depending on where you are right now.

You may have notice *snort* that I have been notable absent in my Blog posts.
Why? May be the question on your lips.
In answer: Busy Laziness.

It is a nice mesh of those two things.
I have, in all honestly been quite busy, picking up extra shifts at work, completing the design commission I was doing for the Upper Hutt Library, and various runnings around.
However, it is also true, and would be an out right lie if I were to claim other wise, that I have been fantastically lazy!
It have very much been a case of "I should...but I don't wanna!" when it's come to blogging.

To make up for it the best I can, I shall see if I can remember, and then tell you everything that has happened since my last blog...here goes:

What has happened since Sunday, September 19, 2010

Ok! Well there have been no further mortifying bus trips, and I am in much better health. My Tummy whale has settled down quite well, though is still very bossy about what it wants me to eat <3

I made a set of CDs to play at work, and included in them are four Wizard Rock songs!
Here in your Car by Ministry of Magic
The Hero by Ministry of Magic
Red Hair by Weasel King
We're The Students Of Hogwarts by  Catchlove

They were the least obvious, and fun Wizard Rock songs in my collection. Sneaky sneaky!
So either no one at work has noticed they're about Harry Potter, or they just don't care. I'm not entirely sure xD
They sure know I love Harry Potter though, because they all know I'm going to LeakyCon next year.

I've completed the work I was doing for the library, and I should be getting payed soon (if not already! I should check!).

Poor ol' Christchurch / Southland is STILL feeling aftershocks from the 7.2 (or whatever) magnitude earthquake in September. Owch. Just yesterday was a 4 point something aftershock.
Poor dears!

Paramore (if I didn't mention it already) was AMAZING! SO AMAZING!!!!
Went with my younger sister and mate Maz and had SUCH an awesome time! Me and Kelli sat upstairs in the seats so we had a great view. I've done the most pit thing before, and I really just in the mood to sit and enjoy the show. She is an amazing shows-person, and I would recommend seeing them live to everyone.
Maz was a darling and bought both me and Kelli tour t-shirts. I love mine, and have it hanging in my closet with honour.
More fun of the night was realising we had missed the last train of the night out of Wellington...bummer. So we waited an hour for the late night bus before it occurred to us it was a weekday and thus there were none running...bummer again. So at 1.30am we finally accepted defeat and taxied home for a small feel. And by small I mean NZ$80 .

Umm, what else?
I've been picking up a nice handful of extra hours recently, so that's really goo!
Also we've sorted the Christmas rosters and my lovely manager organised with Upper Hutt Postie for me to do some extra shifts there over Chistmas, so I have a nice FULL lot of weeks o work! That should be GREAT for the LeakyCon 2011 Fund!

Speaking of the Leaky'Fund!

I did a check up on my progress a few weeks ago (I'm doing another on soon) and I was only $70 under budget, which is really, really great!!
With the inclusion of the $400 or so from the work I did for the library, as well as all the hours I have working over Christmas, the budget is looking really healthy!!!

Plans for LeakyCon 2011 Trip!!!
I have been thinking hard about what else I want to do while in America for LeakyCon 2011.
Early on I was playing with the idea that I might  fly up to New York after Leaky, however I think I'll put that off until a later trip. I just don't have the money to up into it right now. But I'm not disappointing, I have other plans!

I have been in contact with Tippy who I met over Twitter (TippyKazoo) who I am quite fond of and very excited about meeting, and she had shared my interesting meeting on our way to Leaky. She lives in Cali' and will be flying out via San Francisco airport, which is one of two airports that I can choose to fly into on my way to Orlando.
I had planned originally to fly through Los Angeles both in and out of America, as i find San Fran's airport to be depressing and sterile. Not good when you're stuck there for four hours...
But if we can co-ordinate our flight I shall see about getting the same plane as here to Orlando.

From there I hope to spend a day in Orlando, visit the big mall I hear is  there etc, as the rooms I'm staying in are booked for a day before.  I also want to do some grocery shopping while out and about for nibble food while in the resort.
Arianya, who is also in the room, has said she's keen to do that also.

After Leaky, the current plan in to fly out through Los Angeles and hopefully spend a night there so I can see some sights. It would be such a pitting and a waste to just fly through without seeing any of the city!
As for Disneyland, I'm undecided really. I do want to go, but it comes down to time and money. I think I'll plan for it, but if it doesn't happen, then just spend more time out sight seeing. I'm hoping to find a Nerdfighter in Los Angeles, near enough to the airport to crash with, if not I'll just stay at a motel.

I'm going to be heading into the travel agents in January to book tickets, so I'll be musing over the details of what I'm doing until then.

Up Coming Events!
I have a busy week ahead of me this week, but very much in a good way!
I have tomorrow off, but I'll be heading around to my parents in the evening to stay overnight there, because...Tuesday is my daddy's birthday! And we're going to have an awesomely nerdy day watching Star Treks (Original series), and maybe some Doctor Who, if they're arrived by tomorrow afternoon. I went in the other day and ordered the last several DVDs of the original series (First Doctor, 1962) through Whitcoulls, but I haven't gotten a call to say they've arrived, so I'll pop in while I'm up that end of town and just check.
We're also setting off fireworks if the weather permits. I bought $50 worth on Guy Fawkes for both Mum and Dads birthdays (Mum's in on Guy Fawkes its self).

Wednesday is also very very eventful...can you guys why, I'm sure you know, even if you don't realise it...
I'll give you a clue...
Starts with Harry.
Ends with Potter.
But of course! it's the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows on the 18th (Thursday) in New Zealand. So shall be attending the Midnight Screening on Deathly Hallows at Embassy in Wellington!!! I've got a bed booked at the backpackers down the road and everything!

On the same note, I reserved a Deathly Hallows movie poster(s) from the cinema upstairs from my work, so I'll be picking them up the following day if they're ready!

PHEW!
I think that's everything...
I'll be posting a budget for LeakyCon 2011 update soon to show you how that's all going.
Don't be too mad at my mad laziness skills in not blogging.
Haters just make the World Suck Levels rise. And no one wants that.

Oh right, I finished watching the first year of Brotherhood 2.0 finally.
I just love watching the Green Brothers, they just make me laugh so much. And I love being happy!

Ok, well I'm off for now. I'm hungry so i shall have to go forage for food, as no one else is home.
Look forward to your comments, even if they're kindly abusive <3
Spot ya!

In WHich There Are Whales And Spring Time

Greetings!

I've been noteable absent from blogging for two reasons.
One. I am lazy and easily distracted.
And Two. I have been reather increadably sick.

Nothing too startling. Just rottenly sick.
I don't get sick often, usually only on big sickness a year. And one really nasty sickness every few years. Last year was a vicious chest-infection that had me absent from work without pay for two weeks. More or less bedridden. Fever, asthma (which I'd never had before), shakes, chills, the whole shabang. Nasty stuff really. Luckily I was living with Glenn's parents at the time so I could afford to be off work without pay.
It was the sickest I've been in my life, without exaggeration.

This last week was not nearly as bad.
Just one day bedridden.
I've been off for the last two weeks or so with nausea and stomach aches. My stomach whale was making a good home for itself.
What finally brought me down was a truly brutal head cold. What a mess. It took me a few days of recover.
Ended up throwing up on the bus coming home from work the following day.
Mortifyingly embarrassing.

I'm feeling more human and healthy now. Just the occasional upset tummy and I'm still knocking out the build up of fun mucus from my system (Fun!). But really feeling much better.

What is awesome is SPRING IS HERE!
The Winter, though not as vicious as last year, was none the less cold and dreary. Add to that the last Summer was lack luster a best, having Spring show up like a much awaited punch to the face has been wonderful!
It's all been a nice combination for Spring thunder storms, which I adore! And clear blue sunny days. Still a bit chilly, but such a long awaited sight that the cold can't really deduct from it!

Friday was the peaks of the storms so far. With howling winds, sheet rain and hail, with a loving fistful of thunder and lightening! We were grocery shopping when the best of it hit. It sounded like someone had dropped something quite large on the roof of the Countdown supermarket we were shopping at. Very exciting! And it cleared just enough for us to lead everything into the car and get home relatively dry too!

As you might tell my the over-use of '!', I'm very excited about the recent weather!

As for today, like yesterday, it was stunningly clear blue weather. Better in some ways even.
I woke up at 7am to my alarm to plug my iPod Touch Ozmos in to charge for the target 5 hours before work. Then prompltly fell asleep after turning my computer on and plugging Oz in. Slept till 10am. Nice.
Got up and got ready for work with HEAPS of time to spare. And was infected with the blue sky and sun and cleaned my room. I only clean in good weather, so my room gets VERY messy over Autumn and Winter. I cleaned The Corner where things have been piling up for months, sorting out all my paperwork and throwing heaps out too. So I feel very good. I have a clean patch of floor now to go with the other growing clear patches of floor. A few more free sunny warm days and my room will be publicly acceptable! Eeegats! Gawd'zuuks!
On top of that. Last night I was contemplateing re organising my room to look somewhat as it did whenh I was living with my parents. And I think I will. Swap my desk and bed positions somewhat. Yes. I think I will.

What else to mention?
Glenn bought my some lip blam at my request on Friday after dropping me off at work (so I wouldn't barf on the bus again), and he got me a stick of lip balm (I usually get little pots) and it was strawberry flavour (I get vanilla) and WOW! It tastes like strawberry Nerds xDDD
Not what I would have picked but I love it!!!

I played some Wizard Rock at work a few weeks ago actually xD
It was great!
I was in charge of the store all day (on my own) for the first time and pluggest Ozmos in with a playlist I made for work. Turned out I wasn't allowed to plug him in, but not because of the content but because it was harder for the store manager to monitor. So I'll be making a Wrock included CD of music for work soon. I'll post the contents of said CD and thew reaction here!

Throwing-up on the bus, sickness, Spring weather, Wrock ar work and lip balm...what else?

OH RIGHT!
I get a small Design Commission Job!
The Upper Hutt City Library, my local library and one that I worked in during my final year of High School has asked my to make a Powere Point presentation for an award they're finalists for for inivations!!
I got the call on Tuesday and was going to go in for the meeting the next day be ended up being so sick I could bearly stay vertical let along leave the house, so reschedualed for Thursday.
Meeting went well.
I'm super nervious though!
I haven't touched Power Point for years, so over the next week I'll be going over the content for the award and presention and getting up to scratch with PP. Might also contact my 7th form computer teacher at my High School and see if she can up-date me faster. She was lovely and we got on well.
I also have to decide what to quote them for the project. I have no idea!!!
Research!

I think thats it, I'll add anything interesting new blog if I think about it.

Right now I'm reading a HP Fanfic called Child of Four by sarini in fanfiction.net and it's amazing! Love it!
I am still part was through the fourth book of Saving Connor but just needed a break.
CoF is just brilliant. It has a fun twist on early events in HP and really has some fun plot ideas and is very ingenious was of marrying the changes with the existing plot perfectly. Easily one of my fave fanfiction I've read, I totally recommend it anyone who doesn't mind Harry/Draco and a bit of tame boy smut.

Ah well.
Night Internet (or really Shannon and anyone else who reads)
Honestly post, I'd love to hear from anyone who reads.
I do right this for myself to some degree, but I love to hear from anyone who follows.

Back to reading CoF!

In Which There Is A 7.1 Magnitude Earth Quake

At 4.35am this morning Christchurch was hit my at 7.1 magnitude earthquake centred 30km off the coast.

No loose of life currently. Two critically injured including an elderly man who suffered a heart attck.

Serious structuaral damage throughout Christchurch and surrounding areas.
The shock was felt throughout the South Island and also in Wellington where I felt it myself.

Signifigant after shocks are still being felt 7.5 hours after the main quake.

Damages are looking to cost up into the Billions for all hit areas.
New Zealand Govenment has many action plans in place for severe earthquakes.
EQC is one of these.
Any New Zealands resident with Fire cover house insurance is automatically covered my the Government's EQC Insurance. Maximum $100,000 toward house repairs as well as $20,00 for contents.  The rest should be covered then by your insurance company.
http://www.eqc.govt.nz/insurance.aspx

It's sunny and clear weather today. It's hard to believe somewhat what has happened.

New Zealanders are prapared for the fact they may well face a quake like this in their life time. The Government got a great lengths to prapare people in New Zealand with add campagnes for survival kits and supplies. There have safe guards set up and out army is trained in Civil Defense in the case of such a desaster.
I have 3 days worth of water in cupboards for myself and housemates, as well as canned food etc. Batteries for my radio to keep in touch with Civil Defense updates.
We are prapared, but it is still a shock. A lot is happening right now.

Got the TV going. TV One is running coverage.
I'll let you know how things progress.

In Which I Celebrate 4 Months of Harry Potter & Wizard Rock

Or by the longer title I felt was too long for a title:
'In Which I Celebrate and Reminisce about 4 Months of Wizard Rock and Harry Potter'

I checked my Firefox Internet History, and confirmed, It have been almost exactly 4 months since I came across The Whomping Willow's 'In Which Draco and Harry Secretly Want To Make Out' while looking for fanfictions.

I actually remember it now.
About a month prior (or so) I was bored and by spur of the moment ideaing ended up reading Harry Potter fanfictions. Now I have for some while been a secret fan of Harry and Draco together, ever if just as friends. In fact, I always sort of thought it would be awesome if they had a secret friendship behind all the rivalry. Possibly not an original thought, but it was mine and it was true.
Anyway, so I'd been reading some for a while, but never really found anything terrible close to what I imagined and wanted to read. So one day I googled:
"harry draco friends secretly"

And I got : http://realwizardrock.com/more-bands/the-whomping-willows/house-of-awesome/draco-and-harry-secretly-want-to-make-out/
and then http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7B19i_72Now

And it began.

Remembering all this was spurred on by a sudden and unexpected, by myself and everyone, bout of wild skipping down the street to 'Hey Whompy' by The Remus Lupins. It was freezing cold, the wind was sharp and biting at my face, I was knackered and destroyed by work and post-sickness...and song came on. At the first chorus my feet leapt without my agreement and I skipped. And I skipped the length of the block through the rain and wind, stopping only to cross the road safely.
It was...amazing. Magic.

I really owe my life and happiness to Harry Potter and Wizard Rock.
I was unemployed for 6 months after being made redundant from a job I was overqualified and over intelligent for. 5 months into unemployment I found Harry Potter again.
I was fighting myself. I hated myself. I felt stupid, and so useless that a shit job that I was better than didn't want me. That no job wanted me. I would apply and apply with not so much as a "No thanks". And worst than that possible. I was left with disgusting amounts of spare time to eat away at myself. To realise I had no loves, no passion, no interests of any kind.
Sure, I liked things. Everyone likes things. But I didn't find anything amazing. Nothing got my blood pumping and drove me to do things or feel things.
I felt empty and dead. I hardly felt like anyone. A no one.

And it was frightening. Terrifying.
To realise you didn't like yourself. At all.

And then I found something.
I found wings.
It just started out as reading fanfictions. Than re-reading the book.
I pulled out my Slytherin necklace I got from Hot Topic while in America a couple of years before, along with the Slytherin hoodie that I got along with it.
I found The Whomping Willows. I found Ministry of Magic. I found Parselmouths, Catchlove, The Remus Lupins, Draco and the Malfoys, Harry and the Potters.
I found Wizard Rock.
I found people so passionate about Harry Potter the wrote music about him and his world. Songs. Thousands of them!

And I wanted that. I wanted that love, that passion, that immersion and joy, and happiness, and community and friendship.
And I had it. It was mine.
A passion and love that I could be a part of.

It may sound sappy and lame. But it's true.
To got from hating yourself and who you are, to being being so filled with joy and love over something, it is the most incredible leap for air you could ever make in your life.

It may just be 4 months. But I couldn't have gotten here without those 4 months.
I wish I could have found this world I live in now years ago. But there is no point in wishing for the past to be changed. Nothing ever comes from whatif's and ifonly's.
Regret is for fools. Take the good and be happy and joyful for it. Take the bad and find the good side effect from it.
I have a lot of Harry Potter love to make up for.

This is why getting to LeakyCon 2011 is such an important, almost vital thing for me.
It is why I am prepared to put every spare dollar of mine into getting there and making it the greatest time of my life.
I started living 4 months ago. I plan to keep on living for the rest of my life.

In Which There Is Quiz #1

Found this on PuffLevelsAreHigh (Hi Shannon).
Don't know where it's from but it was a fun quiz.
So I'm going it.
Enjoy.

1. First thing you wash in the shower?
My underarms. Hate stinky underarms.

2. What color is your favorite hoodie?
Ooo, double answer, I have two. #1 : Black and Green, my Slytherin Hoodie #2 : Rainbow and white.

3. Would you kiss the last person you kissed again?
Yes, but not in a romantic way.

4.Do you plan outfits?

Only for special occasions. Otherwise whatever is clean and matched somewhat.

5. How are you feeling RIGHT now?

Sore tummy from 'Girly Tummyache' as Glenn calls them, and happy taste buds from eating Cinnamon Scones. Emotionally: Happy and content, plus excited today was the first day of Hogwarts (didn't get to go TTnTT) and buzzed for LeakyCon 2011!

6. Whats the closest thing to you thats red?
The red bow headband on my head. Or otherwise my red jucket on the back of my spare chair.

7. Do you say aim or a-i-m?
Aim

8. Tell me about the last dream you remember having?
Something about living in a warehouse type building and having to sneak in.

9. Did you meet anybody new today?
Lots of people, I work in retail. But no one new on a personal level.

10. What are you craving right now?
A glass of cold, fresh milk. I think I'll get one after this.

11. Do you floss?
I know I should, but I always forget.

12. What comes to mind when I say cabbage?
A cabbage.

13. When was the last time you talked on aim?
Years and years ago. Only K-chan is on Aim.

15. Would you dance to the taco song?
What's the Taco Song?

Yes. once on a trip driving through the New Zealand countryside (I was still living in Australia at the time) I counted cows and yes, got over a thousand. Lots of cows.

17. Do you bite into your ice cream or just lick it?
Bite with my lips and the lick.

18. Do you like your hair?
Yes, though I wish it would behave more often.

19. Do you like yourself?
Yes. I do now. I didn't like myself at all, quite near hated myself, for a while over the last few years. But I worked through it and came out with a much higher love for myself. A great deal of that is thanks to Harry Potter and the fandom, and extended to nerd kind in general for being awesome. Everyday I like and love my self a little bit more.

20. Have you ever met a celebrity?
Depends on your definition. Hollywood A-List, no I don't think so. New Zealand 'Celebrities' most definitly, they're a dime a dozen.

21. Do you like cottage cheese?
On some things, but not THAT much.

22. What are you listening to right now?

The Jet Engine that is my Computer Kyuubi. It's 11.10pm and I don't think Glenn would appriciate my music while he's sleeping. Plus I'm not in the mood for anything right now.

23. How many countries have you visited?
Umm, lets see...New Zealand (if it counts), Australia 2, France 3, Singapore 4, Jersey (England technically) 5, Japan 6, America 7, Canada 8...so 8, wow, more than I thought!

24. Are your parents strict?
Not so much. They have high expectations of what is acceptable, but I respect that and they respect me for it. Trust both ways.

25. Would you go sky diving?
Yes. I would be nervous as pants, but I would do it if the oppertunity arrose I dare say.

26. Would you go out to eat with George W. Bush?

No. I am afraid his brand of stupidity may be catching. Don't want to risk it.

27. Would you throw potatoes at him?
Only if he said something particularly stupidly insulting to general intellegance. Which he might.

28. Is there anything sparkly in the room you’re in?
Yes, the toothpaste box I keep BECAUSE it's sparkly.

29. Have you ever been in a castle?
Close. I've been in an Abbey and several old churches in France. Same massively awesomely ancient effect as being in a castel I might think.

30. Do you rent movies often?
Hmm, not as much anymore. There's never anything I want to see, or if I did want to see it I saw it at the movies. But sometimes still.

31. Who sits in behind you in your math class?
I'm not at school anymore, but no one, I sat at the back. 75% of the reason I didn't learn anything and thus hated Maths.

32. Have you made a prank phone call?
No, it's rude and stupid.

33. Do you own a gun?
No fucking way. Never. Closest I've come to a gun is an air-rifle/pellet-gu. Only near-fire-arm I would ever own.

34. Can you count backwards from 74?
If I tried and took my time. Yes.

35. Who are you going to be with tonight?
My multiude of stuffed animals and things on my bed.

36. Brown or white eggs?

I'm not sure the difference. Do they the look/taste the same on the inside. If so then either. If it's just cosmetic then I couldn't care less. As long as my eggs are eggs and taste the same.

37. Do you own something from Hot Topic?
Slytherin Hoodie and Slytherin Necklace. I wish I owned more. They don't have it in New Zealand. I should put visiting there again on my list to try and do before / after LeakyCon 2011.

38. Ever been on a train?
Millions of times (maybe just thousands). Caught them almost everyday in Sydney and two train stations are within 3mins walk from my house which is back right onto the tracks. Trains are common wherever I live.

39. Ever been in love?

Yes. Took my nearly a year to fall out of love. It was painful but Iwould do it again, albeit more carefully next time.

40. Do you have a cell-phone?
Yep, the first one I ever owned. Got it when I was 17 to keep in touch with mum when I moved to Wanganui for my Degree. That was, what, 5 years ago? I love my Nokia 1100. A sturdy, reliable brick of a phone <3

41. Are you too forgiving?
I used to be, but not anymore since being betrayed my someone who was once close to me.
I am now more selective about my forgiveness and trust. But I only hold grudges that at well earnt. The one who betrayed me will never be forgiven.

42. Do you use chap stick?

No. I use lip balms in little plastic pots.

43. What is your best friend doing tomorrow?
I no longer do best friends. But my close close friend is working, in far both of them probably are.

44. Can you use chop sticks?
Yes. Quite well. Not perfectly, but quite well.

45. Ever have cream puffs?
I don't think so. What are they?

46. Have you ever seen The Butterfly Effect?
No.

47. What was the last question you asked?
What are cream puffs?

48. What was the last CD you bought?
'Empire of the Sun' I think.

49. Boys or girls?
Boys. Girls are bitchy, back-stabbing, cruels and just down right horrible.

50. What is your bus number for school?

My school was within walking distance. Before that I have no idea.It may have just had the school name on it.

51. Is your hair curly?
No. It's wavy and loopy, but mostly straightish.

52. Last time you cried?
Last nigh while reading book 4 of the 'Saving Connor' Harry Potter Fanfiction. It was sad.

53. Ever walked into a wall?
I don't believe so. Though I walk into door frames constantly.

54. Do looks matter?

Yes. But it depends how you mean. looks can tell you a lot about a person. You can spot nerds/geeks etc, did you know that? And bitchy girls are very easy to pick out, thus avoid. Also, relationship wise, yes. It may make me somewhat shallow, and it's not the only factor that is important. But they must be physically appealing. On a friendship / people level. Yes, it shows a person cares about themselves and understands social standards.

55. Have you ever bought anything from Pac Sun?
No. What is it?

56. Have you ever slapped someone?
I don't think so.

57. Favorite time of the year?
Mid summer, when everything sings and just feels like magic is very very real.

58. Favorite color?
Green

59. Are you sarcastic?
Not really. Don't have the knack for it.

60. Do you have any tattoos?
No. If I am still so very much in love with Harry Potter or more even years from now, then I think I might get a small lightning bolt on my wrist.

61. The last person you held hands with?
Glenn. A very long time ago it feels like.

62. Do you sleep with the TV on?
I CAN sleep with the TV on. Last time I did was when I have a panic attack at 4am in the morning and didn't want to wake Glenn up, but was too shaken to go back to sleep. So I took my blacket into the lounge and turned on the Travel and Living Channel.

63. Where was your default picture taken at?
I don't use photos online much. I don't photograph well. The one I use on Nerdfighters was taken in Lab...2? Maybe 4? In the old building I did my Design Degree in, before they moved campus.

64. Do you hate or dislike more than 3 people?
Hate: No. Only one. Dislike: Yes. That person and the two attached to her.

65. Do you like your life right now?
I do now. It took work, and there could be more to make me like it more. But yes. I do like my life right now. Thanks to Harry Potter.

66. How often do you talk on the phone?
Only when I need to. I don't like talking on the phone.

67. What is your favorite animal?
Don't know I have one. Right now I like owls.

68. What was the most recent thing you bought?
Day Tripper Bus Pass. But materialisticly: Two bow headbands and before that my red, tarten coat. Or I suppose my sisters birthday present of 'Valentines Day' on DVD and some cute earrings.

69. Do you have good vision?
It's pretty good. I have glasses for reading, and they sharpen everything else up too. But I can see mostly fine without them.

70. Can you hula hoop?
I used to be great at hula hooping, I haven't for years though. I don't think I'm as good anymore. I should get back into practice!

71. Could you ever forgive a cheater?
Depends what they cheated at and if they are remorseful.

72. Do you have a job?
A part-time job at a kids clothing store called Kids Zone.

73. Can you handle the truth?
Given enough time. Yes.

74. What are you wearing?
My sisters track-pants which are too short for me, but because mine are on the line outside. Also a 'Dead Animals' t-shirt and golden yellow hoodie. Oh and some slippers and socks. It's cold.

75. Have you ever crawled through a window?
I'm sure at some point I have.

That took longer than expected.
Fun though.
Did you learn something interesting and new about me. Maybe about yourself as you no doubt answered the question yourself in your head as you read through them.

My nose started bleeding half way through that which made typing interesting to say the least.

Good Night / Morning / Day Internet.

In Which I Have A Room For Leaky!

Good news Internet!
I have got a room for Leaky sorted out!
Finally!

For the last few weeks I've been looking for a group to room with at LeakyCon 2011, not to much avail. Until 3 days ago!

A while back WrockRevolution (on Twitter) informed me a friend of hers was possibly looking for a 4th member of their Leaky Room. It went back and forth for a bit. People joined, then backed out, until finally on the 27th I got a message from Arianya on Twitter saying they had two spots open, and if I'd like to room with them.
Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaallelujah!

So the room is all booked and ready to go!

We're staying at the Royal Pacific, which I've not stayed at before.
On my one other trip to Orlando we stayed a couple nights at Portofino.
As well as being the cheaper option, it has the added bonus of being so damn close to LeakyCon itself. Score!

So far it's just myself, Arianya and AbbeyMagic.
And both girls sound awesome, so I'm really looking forward to it!

It's been such a surprising relief to have the room sorted now. It was one of the big things that i was eager to sort out sooner rather then later. it's now allowed me ro start planning other trips, flight dates and things like that which I couldn't really until I knew where and when I was staying.

The rooms booked for the 12-18th July 2011, which works out perfectly for me, as I wanted to have the space to breath around Leaky and many see Orlando a tiny bit.

It really got me in the mood for planning actually. I've started my inventory list for what I need to bring and get a hold of for the trip. And of course, I've now been able to update my budget with some cement prices for accommodation during Leaky.
Price is good, $337.50 US all up for all the nights. Much better that I had hoped, and it now frees up a bit more $$ for other things. Which is very nice indeed. Maybe I'll buy all 4 sets of Hogwarts Robes now **day dreams**

So yeah, big load off my back, and it's made me, if at all possible, even MORE excited and amped for LeakyCon 2011!!

Arianya and I have been getting to know one another via Skype, which I downloaded for the first time the other day for just that purpose.
I feel I'm failing my vow to avoid all forms of popular (and any really) Social Networking. I now have Twitter, Facebook, Skype, Tumblr, Blogspot and (to a nerdier degree) Nerdfighter.

Arianya and I have been planning a bit on Skype, and we have agreed we should catch a bus or whatever out to find a super market and get provision to lessen the food costs, and because I want to buy heaps of naughty American foods. I fully plan to have  Lucky Charms every day for breakfast. Foor of champions. Well except maybe on day when we plan to have breakfast at Hogsmeade <3
Also, we're going to do a  food swap. I'm bringing a few New Zealand snacks and things to share, and she's going to bring me some liquoric and stroopwafels!!!

As of yet, I haven't run into Abbey on Skype, but it is just a matter of time.

Think that's all there is to mention. If not I'll put it in new blog or something.
The weeks been reasonable mild. Hours at work will be dropping now that one of the girls is back from leave. Oh well.
Haven't heard from Dick Smith about the job I interviews for yet.
This week I've been doing week shift, which is a change. Much quieter than Thursday through Sunday. And I've been working with Angelique who I don't generally see much.

I think I'll leave it there for now.
Have a lovely Sleep / Wake / Day / Night!!!

Oh, one more thing to mention!
I invented Magic Hot Chocolate this week.
Not TOTALLY original, but a first for me, and straight out of my own head.
I hate the taste of hot water. It the reason I can't drink hot tea. odd yes, but true.
So, the other night when I was pining for pudding, I decide to try boiling the milk on the stove instead of adding hot water to my hot chocolate.
The really trick though, was that I added some cinnamon and all spice when boiling the milk.
I'm not a good cook, but a damn decent baker.
It was AMAZING! Thick, and creamy and hot all the way down on a cold winters night.
There's a reason I call it Magic Hot Chocolate.

Anyway, going this time.
Until next tiem Internet!

P.S. No, I didn't spell check this one either. I hope you enjoyed your grammatical and spelling mistakes <3

In Which There Is Part Two Of Monster Blog

Yes, I finally got to doing it =w=
Shudd'up <3

So there's where I left off:

Friday 20th
Welcome home Glenn!
As I said, I got a wake up all at 6.30am, then slept more and got up about 10ish. Glenn got me all up to date witht eh trips gloss. Showed me video of the wedding (it was so beautiful, Tenny and K-chan were so beautiful), videos and photos of the trip, and gave me my present of a wonderfully loved Kingdon Hearts blanket <333 It's on my bed now.

After looking through photos and videos from the trip we went grocery shopping, and on the way Glenn was like "Oh hai, I have to take you to the movies to see Scott Pilgrim, okthanxbai" Apparently the lot of them (Glenn + Maz + Multitudes of Crazy American Friends) went to see it and it was pretty damn great.
Then was work.
Then food.
Then sleep.

Saturday 21st
I don't recall but then I went to work.
Most importantly though, during break i txt Glenn and was all like "Oh hai. Finish at 5, Scott Pilgrim at 6.05 upstairs from work. You should come, Yesnomaybe. Shall I book tickets?"
And Glenn being the gentalman dork he is is like "Nooo, I shall shout, no booki tickets. Bad Danielle" Me "Yesh shir."
So anyway, to appeas the gentalman I went upstairs to the theatre during my lunch break and checked how busy they expected the movie to be, which was not very and told the boy to meet me after work at 5pm :)

The movie was AWESOME!

If you haven't and are considering, SEE SCOTT PILGRIM VS THE WORLD!!!!!!11111one

I had gone expecting it to be awesome, and what I get was an infinite times awesome.
That good.
Before that we also had an Indian dinner in the mall. Was scrumcious!
Um, then slept. I think. I assume. I hope.

Sunday 22nd
Ahhh, I worked. Can remember what else.

Monday 23rd

Went round to mums and worked on the Revit stuff. Updating the templates I made for her with the stuff I learnt on the course.
Tiring, but I was useful to mum, so worth it.
[Crapfield]
Not so good.
Got a call from my manager. Last two days worth of cast earning were missing from the safe.
FUCK!
Yes. I swore. And I meant it.
Went in the gave a statement before going around to see mum.
Right bullocksed it up but being honest.
Damn honour and truth just screws you over I swear.
I had noticed the safe open on Sunday, but to be honest, it's not an unusual thing and I didn't think twice about it. Thus the problem. If I hadn't methioned it I would not have had to deal with all this. I DIDN'T OPEN THE SAFE AND LEAVE IT OPEN. I WAS NOT IN CHARGE THAT DAY!
Long story short, because it's a bull crap story and I want to be done with the while affair, I now have an official written warning for neglegence and all sorts of other crap.
Just FUUUUUUCK!
Mad at the situation, not anyone in particular. But I am mad.
Makes my tummy sick.
[/Crapfield]

Thuesday 24th
Job interview at Dick Smith Electronics.
Part-time position the go with my Kids Zone job. 12hours + 8.5hours = 20.5hours.
Went well i think.
Waiting for a call.
Not sure if I'm all the chuffed. It's good to get another job to boost my $$ frow, but, well, just feeling myeh. Fridays will be 9am-3pm then rushed bus trip to Lower Hutt for 4pm-9pm at Kids Zone. Not looking forward to that.

Went into Salvation Army Store and bought a set of four small bowls. Very nice and very useful. Happy purchase.
As well as that got my sister he birthday prezzie from Whitchouls now store in the local (Upper Hutt) 'Mall'. New store looks good, but I think it was a bad idea to move off the main street. of well time will tell. Glad I went ther though. Got a $5 gift voucher off of my rewards card. Nice! Payed $1 more by shopping there and got $5 as a reward. not too shabby.

Also worked that evening.

Wednesday 25th
In to help mum again.

Thursday 29th
WINZ in the morning/ Took a while longer then usual but i was in no rush. Got to hear low lives talk about their low life friends in prison. Ah, the company i hold at WINZ. Priceless. Meeting wen smothly. Got the nice lady.
Went to my local library, Upper Hutt City Library, and looked to see if they had any of the Huger Games series after hearing so much about them, also to see if they had any of John Green's books. Turned out that yes, they did have the first tow Hunger Games books, though they were out at the time, but also they had Mockingjay and Paper Towns and Looking for Alaska of order. Nice work Upper Hutt City Library. Nice work. I approve. So when those come in I'll be reading through the lot!
To top it off. I Tweeted to that effect and later that evening the library (@UHLibrary) was following me. Sweet!

Spent the majority of the day in my oen company at home which was really nice. of late i haven't been able to just be at home, on my own, during the day. Very relaxing indeed.

Today!
Friday 27th
So finally up to today!

Had a lovely sleep. Slept till 10 when I'd set my alarm to plug Ozmos in to charge so he'd have enough time before work for get in a good 5 hour charge.
Woke up feeling happy and refreashed.
A good combo I think of having a relaxing day the previous day, and getting tired and going to bed at at 1am the previous night / morning. Pretty early for me. I average about 2am at the moment.
Had SUCH awesome dreams. The really awesome sort. Loved them <3
I had awesome power and owned a HUGE ship, except it was all is old, fantasy type times and ran on magic. And, well, oh it was just soooo awesome.

Did the grocery shopping. Got the strawberry milk I'd been craving while waiting for my bus the previous night, as well as the Lemon Ale I'd wanted the try. A bit too much like beer flavoured to be totally of my liking, but pretty ok. I'll drink the othe 3 bottles I'm pretty sure. Though Glenn didn't like it. Also, Glenn got some peppermint Hershey's Kisses. YUUUMMMMMEEEE <3

Soe crap happened.

And here I am, now, finishing Monster Blog.
Some other interesting pieces of information to note.
1. I did my budget for the first month and a week of saving for LeakyCon 2011 and I am over traget by $80 right now, which is good news. Hope the rest of the months are as wonderful!
The post I made on the subject is the one before this one, below. I might even find a way to post my Excel document I keep all the budget info in some time for your viewing pleasure.

2. Look for roommates is going...well it's going. I have heard from a lovely English girl by the name of Gemma who is interested in rooming with me. So thats great. Also, heard from someone on Twitter that has an open for two people. So I'm trying to get in contact with gemma to see if she's keep, but as of yet have been un successful.

3. Found someone via Nerd Fighters who lives in Dunedin, New Zealand, who is going to Leaky, and will also be then heading up to New York after the Con and said I could come with. That sounds very cool! Hope to keep in touch with her!

Think that's it really.
Hope not to have to do that again, but knowing me. Regardless, hope not to be doing that again!
Good Night My Dear Internet. Keep up your awesome.
No, I have not spell checked this, and I don't plan too. Not yet anyway.

In Which There Is LeakyCon 2011 Budget Update - Month 1.25

Yes, I know, not the second part of my pervious Monster (due to lazyness) Blog, but an exciting and important update that I need to make!

Totally Awesome LeakyCon 2011 Bidget Time!!!! Version Month 1.25
So I'd like to keep a log of my saving efforts for LeakyCon 2011.
My target it to save $4500 (New Zealand $) by July 2011 to attend LeakyCon 2011 in Orlando

The current Savings Counter is : $580

Mid-Track Target : Over $80

So it's a month and a quarter into my saving and I'm $80 over the target for this point.
This is thanks to two things.
The first, is the $100 extra I deposited with my first deposit to get it all under way (thanks me.
And second is the $85 Tax Refund I received in the mail (yay check) for over paying my taxed some unknown tax year ago (I don't question I just enjoy).

It all might not seem like much, but considering I'm currently only working a part-time job, I think I'm doing damn well! Go me!

Hopefully I'll be able to deposit more $$ in the future if I can bump up my hours or (more likely) find a second part-time job. Well just have to see Internet.

So That's it. A quick updated look into my financial slaving so that I can attend LeakyCon 2011!

Good Night Internet. Stay awesome till next time.
The second installment of the Monster Blog coming, honest! Just a bit to work through right now, not all good sadly.
You'll see later what I mean. Just, wish me all the best for Friday <3

In Which I Make-Up For The Last Week

Yes, I know, I've failed my bloggy code and not blogged for a week.
You can see how I've not managed to ever blog, or keep any other form of daily record before. Lazy.

At first is was one day. Oops. Make up for it tomorrow.
Sunday, hmm, tired, work, sleep now.
Monday...no excuse, tomorrow?
Tuesday through Thursday, up at 6.30am for a Revit course...umm, yeah...zzzzzzzzz
Friday Glenns home!!!!! Have fun with Glenn and not blog yay!!!!!
Saturday.
Sunday.
Ho crap it Monday, 10 day later. Bullocks.

So I shall re-cap (or at least put a shot in at trying to) the last 10 days.

Saturday 14th.
Tom Felton kindly pointed out it was Friday the 13th yesterday / today. Thank you Mr Felton I want to ravish you-What?
So was work. It was workish. I don't know, I can't remember.
But what did make Saturday very very awesome, totally awesome even. Was that my little sister (ok, so she's almost 14, but she's still me little sister) can around and stayed the night for a sisterly sleepover! We watched Wizards of Waverly Place and 17 Again which is a great great great movie. Zefron can have a petastool right behind Mr Feltons in my dream house <3 They are to be admirred. And quietly drooled over.
It was a total blast! We had pikelets (little sweet pancakes) and Raro (powdered cordial/juice mix) for breakfast and she then proceeded to threw them up again out the side of my mums car on the way home. Great times.

Sunday 15th
Do I remember it?
Maybe?

Monday 16th
Went round to see mum and work on Revid a bit before going on the course.
Maybe other stuff happened, I can't be sure.

Tuesday 17th
First day of course!
Woke up at 6am. Disgusting. Since when do I wake before sunrise, yuck.
Well I did get up dispite my body and brain assuring me that no, I didn't need to get up and catch my train into this course. Of course I could sleep through the day and not leave my delicious warm, soft, deep bed to venture into the cold frost winter morning. Don't be crazy!
Despite this nice message I did get up and out of the house on time to make my train into Wellington for the Revit course.
Got there an hour early, as I do. I hate being late so I arrive to everything  an hour or half and hour early. And walked around Cuba Street (where the course was). I don;t usually go up Cuba, even though it's just off Manners mall where I often frequent when in Wellington. I always kind of saw it as a hippy new-agy street, and sesings as I quite dislike new agey crap, never chose to venture up it.
As it was, Cuba had changed somewhat since last time I was up there. A lot more small. cool designer clothing / t-shirt stores and a comic book store I never knew existed o0o! Glenn and I are going to go there some time in the near future and look to see if they have any Scott Pilgrim. I had nose through Ferrit which is a small second hand boo store, Didn't find anything of interest but enjoyed looking none the less. After looking at all the shops that weren't open yet at it was 8.15am, I sat and read fanfiction on my Ozmos. Can't say which, I've been a bit skitzo with them lately, getting bored and starting new ones suddenly x)

8.45am went up stairs to the studio where I was doing the course. The group were called Caduceus (http://www.caduceus.co.nz/) and they were at the second floor of an onlt building, one of many in Wellington. I actually think that is one of my fave things about Wellington. The do all the shop fronts up all flash, but if you look up above the street covers about 50-75% of all the buildings are big stone beauties. And most have tiny winding little staircases leading up the businesses in old studio levels. Caduceus was one of those.
It had a nice little area with some dividing walls. Very cool.
So I spent the day learning the beginning basics of working with AutoDesk's Revit Architecture program. Mostly covering what I had been able to learn on my own so far, but with small tips and proccessed that I missed on my own that were useful to know.
Earlier while walking around I had bought a chicken and avacardo filled rool and chocolate carmal slice for lunch. As it was, they actauuly provided luch, as well as morning the afteroon tea, and it was DELICIOUS! Subsiquently, the filled roll remained in my bad for the next two days and finally ended up a squished mess and in the bin.
So day 1. Success.

Wednesday 18th
Day two of my Revit course.
Got up a little later and caught a later train. Only got there half an hour too early. Read.
Got into some deeper content that I knew some of, but not all. Food was great.
Discovered a great little dairy nextdoor to the course that sold all sorts of cool internations bits and pieces, such as Reese's Peanut Cups (choice to pass and wait to by them in American. More awesome that way) and Orangina, which for those of you who do not know, is a lovely orange drink from France, and it is yuuuuummmmy!
Relied on Lift Plus to get me through the day, I keept almost falling asleep out of exastion in the morning. Silly me didn't get enough sleep as usual.
It was brought to my attention that Lift Plus does not exist outside Australia / New Zealand. WHAT? So to explain it is an energy drink like Red Bull or V, but much yummier (in my humble opinion).
So yeah, that was good.

I'm getting tired so I'm going to try and rush through the rest of this...tired.

Thursday 19th.
Guess what! No WINZ.
Because I was on a course I was excused from making an appearance for the week.
Last day of course.
I was in the small course with two others. One who previously working in furnature, a Pom who was looking to up-skill to help find a job (good man!) and a guy looking the learn the program for his job.
It was a crammed in session, but we got there in the end wit time to spare for me to dash out 15mins early and catch my bus back into Lower Hutt in time for work.
We found soem answers to some problem  me and mum had been having which was good. Including the every present (but now fixed) room debarcal.
By this point I was running entirely on Red Bull and Lift Plau to function.
By the time I got to work I was bearly concious. Not tired, not trashed, knackered or wasted, but bearly concious. Basic thought was a mission. And I got to run the store on my own and close up alone. Add to that the small fact caffine makes me somewhat unwell because I'm not used to having any (don't drink coffee, Coka Cola etc). Not a great state ofexistance. But I get into the swing of cousiousness and the night played on.
Glenn and Mazz's plane had landed at 10.15am that morning and I got to txt Glann a bit a work after no comunication for two weeks except a Facebook request...how that conned him into joining Facebook will forever be one of lifes great mysteries. If I was anti-social networking to begin with, then his was strictly pro violent hatred of social networking! mystery.

Anyway, finished up, caught the bus home (almost missed it).
Glenn was dead to the world by the time I got home. Timezomes and not sleeping on the plane are a great comination!
Apparently he didn't stir an inch in the time I got home, turned on my computer, got changed (nigh quietly might I add), started cooking dinner, turned on the TV and ate dinner.
He did however wake me up at 6.30am. How kind. But he as forgiven.

Ok, so I'm totally knackered, and I think I'll stop for now, and pick it up again tomorrow,
There is more the come!
And i have a job interview for a second part-time job tomorrow morning to please wish me well and good luck!!!!! If I get it I'll be well on my way to saving for LeakyCon 2011!!!!!!

No, I'm not spell checking tonight, I'm to tired.
Night Internet. With the staying awesome and such.

In Which Work Was Fun And Heart Attacky

What a day!
Hello dear Internet. How be you oh most glorious entity?
It is Friday.

Today was full on in many ways.
I was awoken at 9.05am by my manager asking if I could come in early because the other lady on had to go home sick. So my 4.30-9pm shift became 2-9pm. But that's ok, I don't mind. The money is good and I'm happy to help.
While awake I turned on my computer (Kyuubi) and plugged Ozmos in to charge. The promptly went back to sleep.
Woke up 12.00...should get up to get ready for work...fells back asleep. 12.30...ho crap. My bus leaves for work at 1.15.
So a rush around get up and out the door to catch the bus. All fine.

Got to work. Helped put out the new stock. Had my 4pm dinner (Peanut Satay Chicken on rice, mmm) and then my manager was off home after a long day :)
Did store stuff for a while, then the girl from Spice Traders came in to hang out. We had so much fun xD !!!
She's...lets see, about 7ish. We talked about all sorts of stuff while there was not customers, which was a lot today. Very quite.
Someone had left a My Little Pony toy from McDonalds in the store at some point through the day, and we made paper clothes for it. She then went off to see her parents for a little while and came back with two hot chocolates <3 I felt both guilty she's bought me a hot chocolate (with cream) and grateful because I was very thirsty. So we drank those, then played with a balloon (soccer and volley ball). I did do work as well of course, and stopped when we had customers. I'm a good honest worker, so I didn't neglect anything or anyone.
Then she went off again for a while and I did the vacuuming. When she came back she had a chocolate bar and let me have some <3

Eventually it was pre-closing up time and I was cashing up the spare till...and it all went ka-put blah.
The receipt printer was out of paper and I didn't notice. The computer didn't like that.
When I went to print out the end of day receipts and count-up it had a small fit and finished the process without me and without the needed receipts. Ho CRAP!
So I had to call the store manager and let her know. She said it was fine, just count up the cash manually and make notes. Easy, and all fine. But the damage was done. I was now behind my schedule. Closing the store and cashing up the main till went 5 mins over time, which is enough to make me miss my bus.
It's an hours wait for the last bus of the night if I miss my bus.

But I was saved!
Alysha from my old work saw me and rescued me! She had just finished as well and is now working in the same mall as me and she has a car <3 So she drove me home. Wonderful lady <3
We got to catch up in the car. He partner is still working in our old job, which it a horrible place to work. Poor boy. And I caught her up on all my news since I saw her last (while was a while ago) including my life shattering events. She wants to kill that thing too for hurting and betraying me :)

So I'm home earlier that usual on a closing shift night.
Thinking if I am hungry. I think I am. I think I'll have the last of the Peanut Satay Chicken.

All in all, the day was exiting and fun!
Even the cashing up drama. The store wasn't AS tidy as it could have been in my rush to catch the bus. But I'll apologise tomorrow when I go in.

So Good Morning / Day / Night Internet. Keep Sexy Awesome!

Dinner Ware Count in my room for tonight:
Still Two Glasses and a Gravy Thing
Three bowls
Two Bundaberg Bottles
Possibly more in a few minutes after I have dinner.

In Which The Blog Is Short...Maybe

Just a quicky blog tonight, I'm tired, cold and feeling blazzay.

Thursday.
If you recall. I dislike them.
This Thursday was remarkably survivable.

Convinced myeslf I really DID need to get out of my beautiful, warm, comfy bed to get to WINZ. Left the window open last night to air my room out. Side effect was it was perfectly fridgid when I woke up. Brrr.
Did get up. Flounced around doing  the usual getting up things. Clothes, food, appearance fixing and teeth brushing.
WINZ was a blow through. Arrived early. Read Saving Connor on Ozmos. Got to see my nice lady right off the bat, she called me over right away, which was nice. Did all the usual mumbo jumbo. And I was gone! Out'a there!

[Crap] i just pushed a magical combination of keys and closed my window. Brilliant! But boy is Blog Spot amazing. I love the save feature <3333 [/Crap]

Walked to mums. The walk was very pleasent. Listened to the music I nicked from my sisters computer the other day. Good.
Did Revit stuff.
Went home toquickly cook tea.
Misjudged the time and bus schedual. Left in a rush and ate dinner at the bus stop. Classy.
Got to work. Worked. Was good. New music CDs were out back so I chucked them on.
The little girl from Spice Traders was iin the store this evening. She's friendly. We had an awesome conversations about ocean creatures which they're learning about at school. Was awesome.

Got home.
Tidied the house (kitchen, laundry and bathroom) because we're oevr due-ish for an inspection and it wouldn't be the first time they didn't warn us before hand. They're alway on Fridays. Tomorrow is Friday.
Rewarded myeslf with a nice, long, hot shower once I was done. Good work me!

Just had my 11.30pm second dinner of left over pasta and sauce. Good still. And a bottle of Bundaberg.  All gone now sadly. I want more :(

In awesome news!
Heard from another Kiwilander via Nerdfighter that will hopefully be attending LeakyCon 2011, and will ALSO be going up to New York afterwards. Got to keep in touch, sounds TOTALLY AWESOME!

Ok, so it wasn't so short as I thought it would be. Bad thing? I presume not.
Alright. Well Good Morning or Good Night or just Good Day Internet.
I hope the weather is fair where ever you are. Keep up the awesomeness.

Dinner Ware Count
1 Bowl
Two Glasses and a Gravy Thing

In Which There Is Bayblade

Greetings again Internet.
What a fine winters evening it is here. Hope you're enjoying your weather where you are!

Missed blogging the last few days. I've been at my parents helping mum with Revit. Had a nice time hanging out with my parentals and sister. Even organised for my little sister to come round for a sleep over at mine on Sat night which will be fun! Plan to watch Wizards Of Waverly Place Movie and have a grand ol' time <3 Maybe do some baking, we'll see where the night takes us!

So what's been up with me?
Hm, not too much. Enjoyed staying with my parents. I do miss not living with them. They're house is great. The other night when I slept over there I was channel flicking at 11.30pm because I'd been kicked off my parents computer, Kelli was asleep and they don't have wireless, so I was suffering from fan fiction withdrawals. Couple that with the fact I don't usually go to bed till 2am, and I was endlessly restless.
So I was channel flicking when I came to Cartoon Network. I'd earlier over looked the channel as the information bar had said Bakugan was playing next, and I don't like Bakugan, I tired of gaming Anime after the end of YuGiOh. It all gets a bit repetitive. However when I stopped it wasn't, indeed, Bakugan at all, but Bayblade! A whole new series of Bayblade at that. I didn't even know there was a whole new series of Bayblade!
Back in the day I loved Bayblade. I even had one. I'd wake up half an hour early on weekdays before school just to watch it. All huddled up in my blankets in the dark. Great memories.

So I watched it and it was great. Even better the I remember the original series being. I watched again last night, and will be again tonight. So glad I chanced upon it!

While over, I also nicked some songs off my sisters computer while Ozmos (Ozmodius my iPod Touch) was charging. With here permission of course. Got all sorts, some Selena Gomez (Wizards of Waverly Place), a whole lot of music from Glee (which I don't watch, but enjoy some of the music from) and all sorts of other things. So Ozmos is even more interesting. I was tiring of just my own music.

Other than that.
Glenn's still off gallivanting around Florida for K-Chan's wedding. I'm not too sure what day the wedding is, but they're over for two weeks. Haven't heard from them because Glenn left his phone in New Zealand with me, but I assume they arrived safely. I haven't heard about any major plane incidents.
I did a solo shop the other night with mum after work. My mums awesome. And got some meals for the week for me. I got to get all the food I love but Glenn either doesn't or is myeh about. Tonight I had the last of my pasta and sauce <3 Tomorrow is Satay Chicken (from a jar because Glenn refuses sauces from a jar, he makes everything himself from scratch).

I also need to work through my LeakyCon budget document and work out the last week and this one's contributions.
And I need to read PuffLevel's Blog that I've missed the last few days.

So yeah, here I sit, in the cold, with a nice fresh bottle of Bundaberg Ginger Beer (Not Root Beer. Not Ginger Ale. Ginger Beer), with my blankets around me.
Weathers been sunny here, but it's still damn cold. My toes froze numb this morning :(

Ah well.
Morning Internet. Have an Awesome day!
@tippykazoo say's it's 'Hug A Ravenclaw Day' today, so a hug to all the Ravenclaws out there from this Slytherin #hugs And don't forget to hug one yourselves!

I have:
2 bowls, 2 plates on my bed
2 glasses and a grave things on my desk.

In Which There Is Butter Chicken Sandwich

Greetings Internet of Friday.
It's ok, I know no one is reading these, oh well, maybe some day when I'm terribly lucky <3

I appear to have developed a taste for clothes shopping. Which is quite unlike me.
I am notorious for my lack of cloth shopping ability. I will drive me mum mad from the sheer lack of buying anything.
I generally don't like the latest fashions. They're either tasteless and bland, or not made for my body shape (lovely and shapely not straight as a stick...bothersome clothing for sticks), or obnoxious floral prints are in, or op-shop-esque cloths, or any other number of fashion disasters I won't waste mine or my mothers money on.
Essentially I've always been a t-shirt and jeans kind of a girl. As a child I was a trackpants and my mums old jumper kind of a kid. Always simple and easy.
Lately my taste in clothes has still been picky and relatively conservative, but I've been branching out . The biggest leap was when I started working at Kids Zone and bought a whole bunch of nice, tidy tops to wear. And I kind of like how I look in them. I plan to get more like.

Anyway, the most resent thing to sper on my purchasing of clothes has been LeakyCon 2011. I've been wanting and thinking of things to wear. I want to look good and leave a good impression, not look scruffy and forgettable. First was a top from my store...which is a kids store. It was meant to be a dress top to be worn with leggings etc...on me is it a shorter dress top, where the 'waist band' now sits snuggly under my boobies and makes for a nice baby-doll top. Not what it was intended for, but it fits and looks nice. $23
Second was today. It is end of season time here in New Zealand and all the winter stock is nicely on sale to make room for the incoming Spring stock. For the last week or so JayJays has had a few coats in the front of their shop marked down 50%. Today I decided 'Screw it! I need a nice warm, tidy coat'. So I got one. It's below bum, red tartan and looks quite nice on me I think. $39.

I think that'll be the end of my shopping expeditions for a while though. I shouldn't be spending needlessly if I want to make it to LeakyCon! Fun though.

The other big news is that Glenneh and Mazz should currently be in a plane bound for Los Angeles right now!!!
Gave my goodbye and good lucks before work today. Still jealous. Still excited for them!
I have demanded Red Vines.
Ah well! I just have to wait a year and then it will be my turn to be flying over to America <3333

So yeah, my day was good.
Got up 9.30 - 10.00 ish so I could hang with Glenn before he went. We went to the bakery down the road for late breakfast. Bought a steak and a potato-top mince pie...Glenn's tasted like cat, mine like it had been in the warmer FAR too long...they were fed to the bin alternatively. But the caramel slice I got was good!
Mazz came round, kicked it with us a small while, and then the two boys were off on their grand adventure to K-chan's American Wedding Extravaganza!!!!
I went to work sometime after that. Work was fine, though I had a grinding headache for a while into my shift. Not fun at all. I bought some Panadol and had the last of yesterdays Lift-Plus, while made me much better.
It was busy, so I had to push to get everything done before closing time, but I got there in the end and made my bus. No waiting in the cold (though not TOO cold today) for the last bus for an hour! Yay!!

Now I'm home. Wore my new coat walking from the bus stop to my house. It was warm <3
Had two Butter Chicken Sandwiches from the butter chicken Glenn made last night. Very delightful. Might have the rest of my cinnamon swirl bun later.

After I post this I think I'll read my fanfiction for a bit, maybe check Twitter periodically as I do. Won't stay up TOO late tonight, got work at 11.30am, so got to catch the 10.30am bus.
I forgot last week I started earlier and stayed up till 5am >.<. That was a LONG shift! not even Red Bull saved me fully.

So good night Internet Land. Stay your awesome self and fly safe!

In Which Thursday Is Better Than Predicted

Currently, I do not look forward to Thursdays.

However today was actually good. Tiring, but decidedly good ^w^

To start off, I woke up...with five and a half hours sleep. Self inflicted, so can't complain. Stayed up reading my current fanfiction love 'Saving Connor'. Great series!
Got dressed, had breakfast of yummy porridge (really was yummy), read a little bit more of 'Saving Connor', I'm up to Chap 7 of Book 4, looking forward to HP/DM <3
Decided that bus is ALWAY late heading into Upper Hutt so I thought I'd try the train, we live right between two stations and right beside the tracks, so it's really close. It was VERY cold this morning and the wind was biting, brrrr. Train was a smidgion late, but got me to WINZ on time, the get fussy and mean when you're even bit late. Train cost $2.50, a $1 more then the bus, I did not know that. Now I do, no prob. Ride was pleasant. I had loaded up Chap 7 of the fan fiction my iPod Touch 'Ozmodius' before I left the house so I read that.

WINZ was reasonably painless this week which was nice. I got one of the nice ladies.

Left WINZ. Went into Dick Smith Electronics to drop in a CV for a job they had advertised online. The guy was friendly enough. We'll see how it goes.

Carried on to the Salvation Army Store where I decided last night in my annoyance to visit while in town today. A cheer me us decision. I love looking through Salvation Army. I don't do second-hand clothes, the icky me out. But I love second-hand kitchen things, most pointedly Tupperware, I'm a little in love with it. Also, I like seeing what glasses and plates they have. I'm looking for a particular design of plates, like my parents and grandparents have. It was popluar and quite common some number of years ago, but I'm yet to find a set for sale. I keep looking.
Other than that I'm on the constant looking out for ELO (Electric Light Orchestra) vinyl and a nice quality, functioning record player.
Wasn't successful on any fronts today, but was happy I went none the less.

Moved from there to the library to return two books. One, a book of essays on Harry Potter. Didn't finish reading it. But I'll get it out again some other time. The other was 'Magician' by Something Fiest. I got it out for Glenn to read.
They're doing refurbishments to the library, adding an extra section. It looks good so far.

Walked to my parents. Still cold, but not too bad.

Go to my parents, felt a bit drained at the prospect of battling with Revit, but was happy as always to see mum. Mucked through Revit. Had a warm corn beef+piccalilli+honey mustard+grain mustard sandwich. Was great. Dad came home for lunch. Chatted to him for a bit, made plans to have a Star Trek day with him in the next few weeks. That should be loads of fun <3
Went back to Revit, made some progress.

Left at 2.30pm to head home and meet up with Mazz who I had made plans to see today before he gallivants off to America for a couple of weeks, taking my dear Mr Glenn with him. Terribly jealous, but happy Glenn gets to go. I went with Mazz last time he went to America. They're going to our mutual friend K-chan's wedding, sad I'll miss it, but they're closer to her than I am, and I can't afford to right now, I'm saving for LeakyCon 2011!
Had a lovely time catching up with Mazz. I don't see him as much as I'd like, as he works long strange hours. So glad we made plans today!
I got to see his car for the first time. It's quite nice. Nothing flash, but nice and practical.

Mazz left. I got ready for work. Read a bit more before going. Last minute decided to print off a chapter of the fanfiction as 'Ozmodius' was low on battery. Missed the bus. Drat. Called work to say I'd be a tiny bit late. Bridget was wonderful and said it was fine. Read on the bus. Didn't get bus-sick from reading. Did almost nod off on the bus though. Was quite tired when I got to work 10 mins late. Drank half my small can on Lift Plus I've had sitting in my bag for months. Felt more awake.
Work went well. Got everything done and closed up in time not to miss my bus home. It's an hours wait for the next and last bus of the night. Read on the ride home. Was more cold. Poor fingers.
Got home. Glenn was much happier which was good. He'd made Butter Chicken (from scratch) and it was YUMMY! I was soo hungry.
Read some more of the fanfiction while he played Call of Duty. Very pleasant evening.

This was a good Thursday.
I don't generally expect good Thursdays at the moment. There are two reasons why:

[Rant]  (Only a small minor rant before better happy things <3)
First and foremost, I have to go into WINZ (Work and Income New Zealand), as after I was made redundant in January this year, I was forced to go on the Unemployment Benefit to afford to pay my rent and generally eat. I have a part-time job now, but still need the extra $$ to part rent etc.

Being unemployed and treated like slime by WINZ is not a fun experience. Period.
I can understand their treatment of myself and others, to a degree. They get a lot of true scum through their doors. People who are lazy and expect society to support them without giving a gram of effort back. But that doesn't excuse the accusing treatment on the whole.
Sign.
I have been working for the last 4-5 years, paying taxes, studying a skill, and putting back into society through my toiling. I am what WINZ exists for. Supporting hard working people who are down on their luck. Who WANT to work, but due to circumstances cannot (Me: Recession and Redundancy).
Anyway, it's a stressful thing going into WINZ and being scrutinised mercilessly.
I have got a part-time job now after 5 months of searching, however the hours fluctuate anywhere from *.5-23.5 hours a week, and it's not reliable and often enough, so I still need the financial assistance to keep living.
One might think that because I only need a small amount extra $$ and that I am working, that I would get at least a small break. No such luck, so struggle I continue.

Conclusion, WINZ sucks, but I need 'em.

Second is less of a problem, more of a...bother. One I'm happy to do, but that drags at me.
This is working for my mum.
My mum runs her own AutoCAD Draughting business consisting of herself,
Recently she asked me if I would like to learn a program called Revit Architecture to help her out. I said yes as at the time I didn't have a job, and LOTS of free time. It's been interesting. The program primarily takes building plans and makes 3D models, and it's quite fun to a degree.
So learning the program's fine, and I'm more than happy to help mum out.
The problem lies in that we're kind of teaching ourselves to use it, and it's not the most self-explanatory program to muddle through. Resulting in a lot of teeth gnashing and temper-tantrums and angst. Grrrrr.
 [/Rant]

So here I am now. Wrapped up in two blankets to stay the cold. Thinking I should transfer my pillow under my bum because it's going numbish. And unwinding.
Mazz and Glenn leave tomorrow. I'm sad I can't see them off at the airport though, I have work. Pity. Oh well.

I plan to read some more, till 2am when 'Ozmodius' has had 4 hours of charge fully.
So goodnight to you Internet, though it is the early morning for you already. Enjoy your day wherever you are! Stay awesome!

In Which Kiwiland's Day Went Blah

Sometimes the most perfectly wonderful days can turn to blah in a matter of minutes.

Today was such a day.

Woke up at 9am to my alarm…slept in till 12.30, good sleep. Got up, had a shower, made pikelets (mini, sweet, fluffy pancakes), where scrumptious. twitted some, posted on Facebook for roommates for LeakyCon 2011, read some fan fiction <3 Day’s good.

Left for work, read fan fiction on teh bus because Ozmos is beautiful like that. Got to work, were lollies, yum. Bridget and Angelique were both in good moods, it was stocktake, yay! Stockrake was small and well organised, I got to scan, which is always good I think. Ate some lollies (candy for those not familiar with the term) Met the area manager for the second time, he’s friendly, listened to Glee soundtracks while doing stocktake. Fished at 6.30pm, nice and quick, went well. Angelique gave me a ride home so i didn’t have to catch the bus, that was great, it cold and wet right now.

Got home.

Blah occurred.

I entered the house to a very unthrilled ‘hello’ from Glenn. Great, someone’s in a grump. Fine. Whatever. Get dinner, eat dinner. It is good, stroganoff. Glenn finishes dinner and leaves the table, tuning on Call of Duty without asking if anyone was watching Family Guy which was on and which I was. FINE. WHATEVER. I finish dinner, put my plate in the kitchen and go to ask Glennwhat the matter is, because I’m nice like that. Apparently it’s my fault, but he doesn’t want to tell me while out flatmate is here…ok?

SO let me get this straight. I have SOMEHOW trigged a man/child tizzy, but he won’t tell me how…FIIINE. WHATTHEFUCKEVER.

I do dishes. I hate dishes.

I do WINZ crap, because they are arseholes and I hate them but need them to pay my rent. I hate job hunting and I hate WINZ (Work and Income New Zealand).

I have a headache, I am tire and irritated.

Glenn has just gone to bed without enlightening me as to how I’ve SOMEHOW annoyed him. He won’t apologise for acting like a dick. He never does, I always have to. Tell me how that works. Sometimes I hate him so much.

So my evening was liquid blah. A good way of ruining a day that was quite lovely and good feeling.

No one’s answered about roommates. Dustin Harrell has still not contacted me about rooming with his group.

I’m. Tired. And sleep has nothing to do with it.

Please be better tomorrow. At least I’ll be seeing Mazzy. I heart Mazz.

Good Night Internet. Be brilliant.
